Paws of Distinction was established in January 2006 by Melinda Carter who is the owner, operator, and groomer and is located in Nashville, TN.  Melinda graduated with honors from Canine Clipper School of Pet Grooming in Dumfries, VA. She trained under Linda A. Law, who is a national and international certified master groomer.

Melinda believes that any pet professional's first and top priority is the health, safety and well-being of the pets in her care. She is American Red Cross certified in Pet CPR and First Aid and routinely attends continuing education seminars and courses.

She is, also, Mom to four “furkids”: Storm (Husky-Mix), Nycademus (Doberman Pinscher-fawn), and Harley (Ragdoll Cat).  She has recently added Sookie (Doberman Pinscher-black) to her fur family!
